Oke Base Metal Project
A Base Metal Target
The Oke property, 100% owned by Mantis, is located 70 kilometers north-northwest of the city of Timmins in Oke township. The property consists of one 256-hectare claim and is 100% owned by Mantis.
Geologically the property lies at the western extent of the Abitibi greenstone belt, which is one of the most productive and prolific mining areas in the world, containing the Porcupine and Kirkland Lake gold camps, as well as several important base metal mines. The Kidd Creek mine is located approximately 35-kilometers to the southeast.
The claim is situated in the immediate vicinity of a geophysically interpreted ultramafic intrusive body. The results of a recently completed high resolution soil geochemical survey conducted by Mantis indicated high levels of nickel, copper and lead within the western portion of the claim. Mantis intends to follow-up on these results and is planning a detailed geophysical program of the property.
