Grass River Base Metal Project
An area play neighboring
VMS Ventures' Reed Lake discovery
The Grass River property, 100% owned by Mantis is located in Manitoba 600 kilometers north of Winnipeg and 120 kilometers east of Flin Flon. The property consists of 20-claims totaling 3,870-hectares.
Geologically the property is situated in the Flin Flon greenstone belt. This greenstone belt is the most prolific volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) belt in the world.
The greenstone belt hosts 27-deposits from which 183-million tonnes of copper-zinc-silver-gold bearing sulphides have been mined.
Regionally the property covers the same package of volcanics as VMS Ventures’ Reed Lake discovery (drill hole RD07-2 intersected 43-meters of 4.3% Cu). The southwestern portion of Mantis claim block lies within 3-kilometers of this discovery hole.
The future plans for this property include a high definition, deep penetrating electromagnetic geophysical survey. Pending the results of this survey a diamond drill program would follow.
